Sounds too good to be true? riiiiggght? Well, that's what it says on the label.
It has a rich formulation with
avocado oil, that promises a closer shave...and not only that, it claims that this product will leave
your skin silky smooth after showering. well sounds pretty promising. So here we go (This is
my first product review, so bear with me )
For a very long time, I've been searching for the perfect shaving
cream, some smell like aftershave ( really manly) cologne and some just
doesnt do the job, I tried cream, mousse, soap, (even hair conditioner!) just
to achieve that cut free, bump free smooth glide, but none of those really
worked for me. I'd still get nicks, or my skin just dries after shaving. For girls
like me who ( World's #1.problem = doesn't want to be hairy LOL! ) like to
shave, Legs, armpits and whatnot, it really is important to have a good
shaving cream, I shave after every 3 days, ( or before tiny hairs reappear )
coz honestly everything looks better (and cleaner) when you dont have so
much unwanted hair here there and everywhere! LOL! and i don't wear
stocking that's why it's really important for me to have hairless legs and
ofcourse hairless armpits because summer means "swimsuits" and sleeveless
galore!
I was gonna get my usual toiletries (you know the drill ladies!) and tadaaaa!
guess what i found on the upper shelf along side other shower gels, body
scrubs and shower creams , then it finally hit me, this bottle looked familiar!
this product has been around for so long! i just didn't pay much attention to
the label coz i thought it was just some regular shower cream ( and i was
loyal to a particular brand, OLAY, lol! ) So i picked this up read the label,
"Nivea Double Effect Shower and..... SHAVE!!!!!!" (Imagine the excitement in
my eyes?! haha!) then I re-read again coz i was like," I might be seeing
things, desperate for the shower and SHAVE to really exist!" Yes! I'm funny
and shallow, i know that, but this really made me happy hahahaha!
So the first thing I checked was the smell, (it's really important coz you don't
want to smell like an after shave cologne right? (Unless you're a guy!) and the
smell was lovely, It smelled (to me) like "peaches and cream" although it
says on the label that this one has "avocado oil" in it, yet it didn't smell
like avocado at all.
The Consistency: Creamy but runny
As a SHOWER Cream :
Ok so after 3 weeks of using this product (yes I did really waited before i
decided to write a review on this because I really wanted to see and
experience the actual result, <seriously nowadays you cant rely on the
description label/box beep beep CASA Cellophane Color ----- I'll make a review about that product soon> So yeah after 3
weeks, I still have more than half a bottle (I shower twice a day) yep, you
only need a small amount to make a rich foam.. (*use loofah/wash cloth) I really
liked the fact that after showering, my skin really didn't feel squeeky clean
like I was inside the dishwasher for hours, despite of the rich lather, I felt
clean but moisturized, like I put on lotion right away after getting out of the
shower, and that's always a good thing.
my only complain is that I really wish
this product smelled more like avocado
coz of its avocado oil properties, to me
this one smelt like peaches and cream. I
am not complaining but I just got
confused. (I'll tell you why later --> See Cons!)

As a SHAVING Cream:
Probably the best shaving cream i have ever tried, it really did give me a closer shave, and surprisingly, i dint have cuts or bumps after shaving, i used to get those especially when I use scented shaving cream, "lalo na sa armpits" (TMI!) but not with Nivea Shower and Shave, the razor glided smoothly, non irritating, this product for me is the perfect shaving cream and i totally recommend this.

- Two in one product
- Lived up to its promise
- Affordable
CONS:
- The smell doesn't last that long
- Confusing! The label says it has avocado oil, and the scent is passion fruit, but it does really smell like peaches and cream. (atleast to me)
